Daydreaming to Different Songs

Ever notice how a song just transports you to a different time and place and you start daydreaming scenes shot with that song playing in the background?

Different songs bring me to different places. Colbie Caillat makes of think of roadtrips along the freeways of the US that cut through gorgeous views of mountains, valleys and forests. Corinne Bailey songs makes me think of biking along dusty country roads with fields of flowers on both sides of the road lined with a wooden fence. Ok fine, the last one was a direct pick up from one of her videos. :D

Now, I am listening to Christmas carols sung by a British choir and done in the operatic style. It brings to mind a Dickens Christmas with top hats and great coats and snow falling while riding a horse carriage clip-clopping  its way down cobblestone streets. I wonder how it is to spend a proper English Christmas. What is a proper English Christmas anyway? Never you mind, my family will have one of those one of these days and I'll be sure to have these Christmas carols in the background.

Let me go through the other files in my music folders and let the songs transport me to places without needing to travel except in my mind.

Isn't imagination a wonderful thing?
