Prayer Journal

I read about this idea a few days ago. The thing is to list all the intentions you prayed for and then return to them and write down God's answers to your prayers. Whether it was a resounding yes, a cautious not yet, or a blunt no, just write it all down. And then you will slowly see the hand of God in your life. How He is constantly guiding us along the right path.

You might have prayed for an ex and you to get back to together but it never happened. Because God led you to someone better. Or a problem that never seemed to go away but as you looked back, you realized that that debacle in your life prepared you for even more challenges ahead.

Every roadblock hurdled and every tragedy overcomed just makes us better and stronger persons. We might not think so at the time but hindsight makes us see that God was with us then leading us out and giving us comfort and strength all the way. And that is why you are still here reading this.

Every person who is depressed should try this exercise and they will see that they are not alone. They were never alone. They just never bothered to see who was really with them on their journey. If they did, the sense of gratitude they will get will uplift their soul and calm their troubled hearts.

So I suggest you put pen to paper and start feeling even more grateful. And in my case, excited for God's wonderful plan to continue unfolding.
